Background & Experience

  • Has more than thirty years of progressive accounting, audit, and tax experience.
  • Began his accounting career with a local Mobile CPA firm in 1971 and became a partner in 1977.
  • Joined Wilkins Miller Hieronymus when the firm acquired the Mobile-based accounting practice of Cherry Bekaert & Holland (CBH), a large regional accounting and consulting firm. Served as the Partner-in-Charge of CBH's Mobile office for over ten years. While with CBH, he was a member of the firm's estate & gift tax committee and tax committee.
  • Areas of special concentration include tax, accounting, and audit services for forestry related entities, estate & gift tax planning, non-profits, manufacturers, employee benefit plans, and closely held businesses.
  • Extensive experience working with closely held businesses in consulting and planning for minimizing income and estate taxes and business succession planning.
  • A native of Mobile.
  • After college, he served as a Lieutenant in the U.S. Army in Okinawa as an Air Defense Missile Officer.
  • Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting, University of Southern Mississippi, 1969

  • Ken enjoys playing tennis, spending time with family and grandchildren, cooking outdoors, and going to the Gulf Coast beaches. He is active in his church where he serves as a deacon and on various committees.
