Wilkins Miller home page

"Spring Hill College switched from a large national firm to Wilkins Miller for its auditing needs in 2004. For the past six years, we have enjoyed not only timely audit completion, but also a valued business partner. The staff of Wilkins Miller understands the College's business as thoroughly as any member of my staff. The continuity of the senior management team of Michael Kintz and Erin S. Jones has enhanced the quality of our financial statements in many ways. Our audited financial statements have evolved from merely a presentation of statements, required by auditing standards, to a more complete report with the inclusion of a management's discussion and analysis and statements that reflect the complete story of the College's financial position. As an administrator in higher education, we welcome the new hires of Wilkins Miller to our campus as they conduct field work. My entire staff and I are amazed at the professionalism of these younger accountants as they are being trained by the senior team. I am pleased that our Board of Directors has committed to another three year term with Wilkins Miller as our auditors."

The nature of our practice has allowed us to develop a highly qualified staff with a broad base of business experience and technical competence.  Some of our personnel have national and international firm experience. From 1978 to 1991, one of our predecessor firms was the Mobile office of Pannell Kerr Forster (PKF).  At that time, PKF was the 12th largest CPA firm in the United States and part of an international firm.  For over a decade PKF provided unparalleled accounting services from its Mobile office.  Wilkins Miller has maintained its reputation as one of the finest firms in the State of Alabama.

Wilkins Miller is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants Division of Firms, Private Companies Practice Section (PCPS) and is, therefore, subject to all of the stringent quality control requirements prescribed by this Section.  Accordingly, our practice is reviewed by an outside CPA firm every three years.  The required triennial peer review of our firm was rendered without a letter of comments.  This is the best report a firm can receive and is only achieved by less than 10% of the firms in the United States.  We have received this report for each of our six peer reviews since 1991.  To view our peer review report, please click here.
